Vegas Update and LAST Chance

Live from my hotel room in Vegas where I have a really cool view of the strip, even better than the one I had at Treasure Island back in 2000 during my first trip to Vegas.

My workout today: split squats, reverse lunges, pistols, DB Rdl, back extension, leg raises, cable chops.

Dinner last night was at Grand Wok in MGM. Usually I have a big bowl of bok choy and sushi/sashimi, but last night I had bok choy and roasted duck and pork. Good stuff. One of my dinner guests was John Romaniello and we spent about 30 minutes talking about Batman movies and comics, Spartacus (the TV show), Attack of the Show, James Bond, the future of Vegas, and Harry Potter.

Great times.

Las Vegas Update 1

My first stop in Vegas...Walmart for groceries of course to buy all the stuff that US customs wouldn't let me bring from Canada. Well, not ALL the stuff. But as much as possible. Thanks to my French-German former Brazilian nightclub singer turned cabbie for waiting for me and not driving off with my bags. Thats it, hopefully tomorrow the trip gets a little more interesting when ol' Roman hits town.

(On the flight down I watched "Saving Private Ryan". In hindsight, that wasn't the best bedtime story, even though I love that movie.)

At 6:30am I was up and in the gym at Mandalay Bay for some pulldowns, db rows, and seated rows. DB's up to 75 pounds for presses and high rep rows. Was able
to do face pulls and pulldowns too. Might head to Golds for a squat workout tomorrow.

No heavy pressing was done because I'm letting my shoulder heal up after hurting it during a stupid pushup contest. That has set my bench press goals back by at least 8 weeks. Stupid, stupid Craig. Oh well, many lessons have been learned.

More Stupid Craig…he did not read the almond butter label last night at the Las Vegas Walmart and now Smart Craig just ate sugar-added almond butter. Whoops.

Off Week of Training and Great MH Tips

Started the day with an incredible dog walk with ol Bally the Dog under a bright full moon and sky full of stars. The suns also coming up a little earlier each day so it's easier to see him in the still muddy fields. He's hoping for a bit of snow.

This week is an easy week of training for me after 3 heavy weeks. This works well since I'm traveling to Vegas and Denver for a few days.

In the meantime, check out the old bodyweight squats timed intervals...enjoy watching me in pain

And don't miss last week's fitness QnA:

There's also plenty to learn in the latest Men's Health magazine. Check out a program from our favorite Roman, John Romaniello, on page 50 of the Feb 2012 Men's Health.

Roman says it will smoke you. It's a four exercise, 2 superset, descending pyramid workout.

I also have an ab workout on page 111 including a stability plank, jackknife, rollout, and side plank circuit. You'll find it in the Olympic training section on page 111.

From the MH the previous month comes this interesting data:

Here's the 'percent of your body weight' that you are lifting when doing various pushups:

a) Kneeling pushup = 49% bodyweight
b) Regular pushup = 64% bodyweight
c) Decline pushup = 74% bodyweight

Today's Kickbutt Mindset Tips:
Failure isn't bad. Failure isn't final. Don't let the fear of failure stop you from achieving the success you deserve.

Never quit. If you stumble, get back up. What happened yesterday no longer matters. Today's another day, so get back on track on move closer to your dreams and goals. You can do it.

The problem with problems is they get worse if you don't fix them. Attack problems head on today. Whatever is in the way of your success, crush it today.

Top Training and Nutrition Tips

Here are the top training and nutrition tips from my www.turbulencetrainingfanpage.com Facebook posts this week. There are also a few motivational/reflection tips to think about at the end.

1) While you want your MRT workouts to be hard, remember this rule of training: "Each workout, exercise, set and rep should be done with purpose, for a purpose."

2) Take time today to clean out cupboards and prepare a healthy shopping list. Plan, shop, and prepare and do some massive shopping and cooking preparation for the week ahead. Plan two solutions for every nutrition obstacle that comes up each week....

3) TT Trainer Ray Ortiz on Canada's national morning program - demonstrating the Power Wheel - good times
- http://www.globaltoronto.com/morning/video/index.html?v=AnO2Nlhm7Y4oalwNy1Gq2Ydymu2WJj1Z#interviews

4) This one goes out to all the ladies...over on the Shape.com website..."If you're dead-set on weights or have a strength training plan you've been following, bring a backup plan—or two—for each exercise in your workout to avoid getting slowed down by a line," says Craig Ballantyne, C.S.C.S., owner of TurbulenceTraining.com. "If your goal is to gain muscle and lose fat, then you really don't have to worry about the exact exercise, just the movement pattern," he says. http://www.shape.com/fitness/workouts/best-workouts-crowded-gym?page=2

5)  "Fulfillment comes from a life of meaningful achievement and from being present in each moment while moving in the direction we most want to move. And ask yourself, Am I doing what I most need to be doing right now? Am I being who I most want to be right now?" – Peter Bregman

6) "To get something you've never had, you have to do something you've never done." (I first heard this from the actor, Jeremy Piven. It's a classic quote.)

Friday Deadlifts and Motivation

Good deadlift session for me today. Now a week of easy training while traveling to the farm and then to Las Vegas. Today was deadlift, box jumps, front squat, good mornings, ab wheel.

As reported in the latest Men's Health magazine (the one with Ashton Kutcher on the cover), a research study found that doing 6 weeks of ab training did absolutely NOTHING for dropping belly fat. And these folks were doing 14 sets of abs, 5 days per week

Another cool little stat from Men's Health last month: Here's the 'percent of your body weight' that you are lifting when doing various pushups:
a) Kneeling pushup = 49% bodyweight
b) Regular pushup = 64% bodyweight
c) Decline pushup = 74% bodyweight

Today's Kickbutt Mindset Tips:
Advanced results required advanced measures. Yet somedays it seems nobody understands this anymore. You have to do the work and you have to sacrifice.

Today's www.InternetIndependence.com Tip:
Increasing your income, as I've said over and over again, is the single-most important factor in building wealth. – Mark Ford

15 minutes can change your life

Morning is a 'magic time' in the day, where you can get more done in less time before other distractions got in your way. It doesn't matter what time you get up now, but if you simply set the alarm 15 minutes earlier, over the course of a five-day work week you'd have more than an hour of quality work time. Over a year, you'd have 65 hours. That's significant. That can be the difference between an American Dream achieved or just a fantasy in your head.

15 minutes can change your life.

Chip away at good behaviors. Not everything is going to change overnight…but if you're a little better today, and a little better tomorrow, then you'll be a whole lot better next month. Stay strong. Get stronger.

Today's Kickbutt Weight Loss Mindset Tip:
"Don't be pre-occupied with things over which you have no control, and don't take things personally." – Kekich Credo #52…

Do NOT obsess about your scale weight – no one wears their weight around their neck. Focus on behaviors that help you lose fat.

Thousands, if not millions of people have been deterred from their fat loss program because of erroneous emphasis on bodyweight, rather than on body fat and inches lost.

It is how you fit in your clothes and look in the mirror that counts.

Many Mindset Tips for 2012

‎"Don't be afraid to do what you want, not what others want you to do. Don't hold yourself to others' standards – especially when your standards should be higher." – Jim Wendler

You must truly believe in yourself. You must end the "I'll give this a try" mindset, and switch to a "I'm going to succeed" belief.

Remember…everything you do takes you closer to or further from your goal. Everything.

‎"Presuming your personal performance is of extremely high or at least potentially high value, then everything that facilitates it best has value, and everything that interferes has (hidden) cost. Assembling, developing and taking good care of your inner-inner circle is a way of enhancing personal performance." - Dan Kennedy

10 Minute Workouts

10-Minute workout are possible. Without exaggeration, you can get a great workout in 10 minutes with supersets of two multi-muscle exercises, like pairing squats with pullups and going back and forth with no rest in 10 minutes.

You can do one easy warm-up set at 25% intensity, then a second warm-up set at 75% intensity, and then two really good sets of 8-10 reps using a weight that you can regularly lift for 10 repetitions. Another superset option is deadlifts paired with a pressing movement, such as pushups, db chest press, or shoulder press. This would be better than 50% of the workouts you see done in a commercial gym.

My training today:
Box Jumps, Squats, Lunges, Glute Ham Raise, Ab Wheel. Off day tomorrow.

Also, there are 5 new spots available for trainers to get Turbulence Training Certified here:

Today's TT Transformation Tips:
Take control of your life, accept the consequences of your actions, stop making excuses, and accept that it really, REALLY is up to YOU to change things if you want them to better. No one else, just you. Here's to your best year ever in 2012.

Don't get upset by things you can't control. Go with the flow. Breathe. Work on improving everything else that you CAN control. Don't take things personally. Keep on moving ahead. Don't get set-back by negative people. Stay strong. Get stronger.

Today's Kickbutt Mindset Tips:
‎"You are responsible for exactly who, what, and where you are in life. That will be just as true this time next year. Situations aren't important. How you react to them is." - Kekich Credo #58

"Enjoy life. Treat it as an adventure. Care passionately about the outcome, but keep it in perspective. Things are seldom as bleak as they seem when they are going wrong – or as good as they seem when they are going well. Lighten up. You'll live longer." Kekich Credo #55

31 Day No Dairy Diet Depletion

Today begins 31 days of no dairy products for me. The 31-Day Dairy Diet Depletion. This is Nutrition Experiment #1 of 2012 and next month I will probably cut out gluten for the month.

I'm doing this to see if I notice any differences. For the record, I am skeptical that anything will change.

Also, I should mention that I had a LOT of dairy this week and feel fine, so I wonder if I will notice anything different. I'll keep you up to date.

I have gone 4 weeks completely vegan in the past and wasn't overwhelmed by the results. I think I actually got sick (with a cold) during those 4 weeks, although I was consuming a diet heavy in grains. Maybe that was the issue then?

What about YOU? Want to join me on a nutrition experiment this month/week? What will you try?

It's important for you to ALWAYS be experimenting and learning how your body responds to different diet and training programs.

I also love writing these...the 2012 Fitness Industry Trends & Predictions

If you are a leader in your industry you should be writing a "State of the Industry" or a "2012 Predictions" report for your readers...that's instant credibility for you, plus it is fun to create and your readers will love it.

Today's Kickbutt Mindset Tips:
Make this your goal in 2012...to do better what you did well in 2011. That will make all the difference.

Take control of your life, accept the consequences of your actions, stop making excuses, and accept that it really, REALLY is up to YOU to change things if you want them to better. No one else, just you.

Off Day Advice

No training for me today, just a big dog walk and old-man warm-up. Be careful not to overdo your training in 2012. A lot of people do "off-day" workouts that would qualify as regular workouts, but that's an overuse injury waiting to happen if you are training hard on regular days. You probably don't need to train as much as you are. Be safe. Be conservative.

Get Strong

Today's training for me hit a lot of upper back exercises, including face pulls, wide-grip rows, db chest supported rows, wide pulldowns, and then some meathead arms.

Here's a great quote that will encourage you to get strong.

"Strong people are harder to kill than weak people, and more useful in general." - Mark Rippetoe.....#truth

Also did a great www.turbulencetrainingfanpage.com QnA session today. Here are some of the best Q's.

Q: Trained a "fatloss" client today. Did mobility wk, interval treadmill work for 20minutes then supersetted with weights. My question is: Does it really matter if I do weights first then intervals? I normally do weights first but just wanted to switch it up with her..Thanks..

Answer:
Doug - If strength gains are not a goal, then no, probably doesn't matter. It's a good way to trick clients into thinking they are working harder than they are, too.

Q: Is it ok to strength-train my lower body one day then do intense cardio like spin for an hour or run 6k the next day?

Answer:
Bernadette - depends on what you mean by ok. just be careful of overuse injuries. that is your biggest risk. muscles, achilles tendon, knees, hips, low back, etc. make sure you are doing a thorough warm-up. and get some
complete rest days in there somewhere.

Q: I hate long boring cardio! how can I build cardiovascular endurance without it?

Answer:
Unless you want to run a marathon, interval training will do the job

Today's Training Resource:

Jason Ferruggia talks sprint training while on a strength program:

Today's Kickbutt Mindset Tips:
Write down your personal beliefs/philosophies and allow those to guide your decisions. If a request does not fit your belief system, it is ruled out. You don't have to agonize about it. It just isn't even considered. Establishing your beliefs = less stress. Stand up for what is right for YOU. Here are the rules for my life:

http://www.earlytorise.com/2011/07/20/12-rules/

Success loves speed...take action. Don't wait for the time to be right. NOW is the only right time.

And now a little prediction: One day Google & Facebook will publicly release data on everyone's Internet behavior...so do you want it to be known that you check FB 117 times per day? (Of course, even if they don't release this data...it probably wouldn't hurt to act as if they were going to...respect the Internet and how you use it.)

How I Workout While Traveling

Someone asked me, "If you had the choice of taking a kettlebell or TRX straps on Christmas holiday, which would you choose?"

To me, that's a trick question. You may as well have asked me, would you like to kiss a pig or a donkey.

The answer is neither. There's no way i'd ever put myself in that position. I'd buy a day pass at a gym instead.

That's how I workout while traveling, and I've done this from Dubai to Australia to Lithuania to Poland to Austria to America to Mexico.

Never too early to start prepping for the 13th TT & 24-7 Fat Loss Transformation Contest. It starts on Monday, Dec 26th. Win up to $1000 just for losing your belly fat. All of the rules are here

MRT workouts on the way

Just putting the finishing touches on the TT 2k12 program for January. It features what I call, M-MRT (Muscle Metabolic Resistance Training) which switches today's training mindset of "movements not muscles" back to "movements and muscles" for intense muscular contraction goodness.

My legs haven't felt like this in years...workouts coming soon...

In the meantime, here are some nice bodyweight bootcamp workouts for trainers and clients - great for the holidays or January get-back-in-shape

Also, just started re-reading Jim Wendler's 5-3-1 for Powerlifting. Every time i read his books i want to train even more. Awesome book series. Treat yourself.

Today's Kickbutt Mindset Tips:
Be awesome. Take action. Attract others. Remember, other people want to be associated with positive people...people who are doing good things and allowing them to be a part of something bigger than themselves.

Lead by example. Take charge. Live the life you want to live.

Excellent new workout

Started a new 4-week program today and legs felt fresh. Everything is going according to plan today.

Today's workout: Box jumps, Squats, Lunges, glute-ham raises.

Now a dog walk and then over to Dr. Michael Sommers for some ART. And then it's pretty much holiday time.

Today's Kickbutt Mindset Tips:
Everything you do takes you closer to OR farther away from your goals. Think about that before each and every decision you make.

Remember this over the holiday season: If you fall "off the wagon", cut your losses, don't worry about it, and get right back on track. Immediately. It's minor damage that can be dealt with.

Look at every new day as an opportunity to do better than yesterday. And a chance to learn something new that will make you better and get you more results. Don't look back with regret about mistakes that were made yesterday, there's nothing you can do about yesterday's decisions. Just focus on what you can do today.

Don't be satisfied with the norm if you want more. It's okay to want to achieve special results. The world needs folks who dream and achieve big things.

Exercise Form QnA

Easy training for me today. Having a bit of an off-week before I start a new program on Wednesday. Did ball leg curls, ab wheel, depth jumps, deadlifts (3x5 at 50%), front squats (3x10 at 50%) and good mornings (3x10 with empty bar). Lots of stretching and a long warm-up.

Then we had a good form QnA on www.turbulencetrainingfanpage.com

Q: Which is better for hamstrings, straight leg deadlifts or RDL?

Answer:
They are equal, but most often the RDL technique is safer...then again there are many form interpretations of each...so I'd have to watch each to be able to say.

Q: how can i substitute inclined press in the TT for Buff Dudes and Hot Chicks?

Answer:
Decline pushup or db flat press

Q: What's the difference between split squats and reverse lunges? I feel like its targeting the same muscles.

Answer:
Generally the same movement, but the split squat is stationary and has a lesser degree of difficulty on the co-ordination scale.

Fat loss is simple

Fat loss is simple once you accept how difficult it is, and how much effort, honesty, responsibility, long-range planning, creativity, intensity, discipline, thought and control the process is going to take. I'm not saying it is easy. And it is not going to happen from a magic pill. But once you accept how difficult it is then will you succeed.

Today's workout (taking the week off heavy lifts): Pulldowns, Pushups, DB press, DB Chest-supported row, db triceps, db hammer curls, and some cable exercises for arms for fun. Now for Family Christmas, big dog walk in the snow, and some NFL football to finish it off. Prettttty prettttty good day.

If you want to improve your pushups and pullups, this is a complete resource from a trainer who can crank out over 25 pullups and 100 pushups - oh, sorry, a female trainer who can do that - impressive stuff - www.challengeworkouts.com

Meathead Muscle Pump

The last two weeks of training have left me pretty beat up, so I'm taking a few days off, but today I did one last meathead muscle pump workout to finish out my four week training phase - although I skipped the Military Presses.

After my old-man warm-up, I did some additional external rotations with tubing, and then pulldowns, seated rows, triceps pressdowns, and cable biceps curls. Four sets of 10-15 for each. It was kind of fun.

Crazy dog walk time. The dog or the walk? Both. Hopefully we won't encounter any angry honeybadgers along the way. Maybe some sleepy ones though.

Saturday Off Day and Miami Hotel Comparison

No workout today, just stretching and a 3-mile walk from the Fontainebleau Hotel to the Setai Hotel - and back - here in Miami Beach. I've been to Miami Beach four times, and twice I stayed at the Setai, once at a friend's house, and then once at the Fontainebleau.

The Setai has a better location because it's closer to Lincoln Road, the touristy area with shops and restaurants. It also has a nicer beach and is much quieter (no nightclub or party atmosphere).

However, the Fontainebleau is like a Vegas hotel minus the casino. Lots of partying, one of the coolest lobby bars in the world, better - and more - restaurants, a much better pool scene, and unfortunately/fortunately, everything that goes with all of these.

For example, there was a large vomit stain outside the elevators on the 4th floor this morning when I went to go for my walk. On the bright side, I slept through the vomiting, as my room was right beside the elevators.

So...where will I stay in the future? Tough call...the gym is better at the FB as well...and there really isn't a big reason to go down to Lincoln...so I'll probably be back to the Fontainebleau in the future - IF my work brings me down here again. I don't have any plans to be in Miami again in 2012, but you never know with all the crazy stuff I do.

Just wait until you hear about this trip I have planned for Vegas in April...

Miami Meathead Workout

Today I did a workout in the gym at the Fontainebleau hotel in Miami. There are 10 walls in it. It was like a circus funhouse in there. I felt like I was lost in a maze sometimes.

However, it's a great hotel gym and I had a good workout. Started with pushups (hit a maximum of 55 reps in first set), supersetted with pullups, and followed by db press, db row (had 85lbs db's), face pulls, and bw triceps extensions.

Down in Miami at Yanik Silver's "Maverick Business Adventures" annual meeting. Hanging out with business owners from all over the world dedicated to improving the lives of others. High energy. Valuable connections. And while I'd rather be at home writing, SHOWING UP to these events is extremely important. Outside comfort zone = Dramatic steps forward. Big news coming after this weekend regarding an ETR event...

And the Universe answers...I've been looking for someone to create some content for a new project...couldn't find them on Elance...and so I went to Maverick Business Adventures get-together last night in Miami...and the first person Yanik Silver introduces me to SOLVED the problem. Proven principles FTW: 1) Show up. 2) Get outside comfort zone 3) Take the necessary actions to move forward 4) Get the social support you need 5) Never give up.

Old-Man Meathead Workout

That's me, old man meathead. Jolly old' man Meathead.

I had a bit of a training conundrum this week. I have a flight to Miami tomorrow at 9am and yet that was my squat workout day. And because this was the final week of my current 4-week program, it had to be a good one. But I didn't want to be training at 5am tomorrow. And I didn't want to be trying to fit it during my trip to Miami in a strange gym.

So yesterday, with my legs feeling great, despite deadlifting on Sunday, I decided I'd give my squat workout a go today. And it turned out great.

I know it has a lot to do with all the time and effort I've been putting into my old man warmups, including rolling on the PVC pipe (more intense than a foam roller). It paid off with a great workout today.

1) Squats

2A) Lunges
2B) Glute Ham Raises

And that was it. I was still in the gym for 60 minutes because the old-man warmup takes a long time. But again, it is definitely worth it.

Tomorrow I'll have the full day off and then on Thursday I'll be hitting a meathead bench press workout in Miami.

No workout for old men

I'm out in the country where it's no workout for old men day. Although I did some stretching, foam rolling, etc., and will be doing a long dog walk this afternoon.

Here's a good workout plan for old men from my friend Jim Wendler (and good news, this does not include cattle stun-gun to forehead like the old man received in that movie...)

Super Macho Man Pec Workout

Today's meathead-of-all-meatheads workout was awesome. It was bench press, pullups, rack lockout, db row, db press with supermachoman pec action squeezing, db incline curls, face pulls. And yes, I get extra points for a Mike Tyson's Punch-Out reference in describing my db presses.

Tons of training tips today

Today's Training: Box Jumps, Squats, Lunges, Glute Ham Raises, Leg Raises. Trying out some tips for a new Meatheads program. That unfortunately won't be out until Feb 2012. But still, worth the wait.

What you don't have to wait for is an article I wrote this morning...literally as soon as I woke up from a dream about how you can lose fat and gain muscle over the holidays. It was 4:43am and I had a dream that a client was struggling to keep the fat off over the holidays. So, I got up, petted the dog, and wrote you this article

Actually, I gave him a belly rub too, then I wrote the article. A pet just won't do at 5am.

Funny thing, he sleeps out in the living room, but walks in every 15 minutes after 4am to see if you're awake. Today he got lucky, because I was up early. Usually he has to wait until 5am.

No workout wednesday

Boo. But I have to do a big filming session today on a goal setting program I'm putting together.

However, I did some stretching and old-man warmup, plus an extra dog walk since ol' B the D will be at home by his lonesome for a few hours.

Tomorrow will be a big squat workout.

Cleaning up the messes in your life

Today started with a rainy dog walk, but was followed up by an excellent
meathead workout.

Get more meathead workouts here.

Neutral grip pullups, overhead press, Wide grip row, dips, curls, shrugs. Fun, but not a personal best performance. Now for another dog walk in the rain.

No workout for me today. Feeling great after yesterday's deadlift workout and recovering for tomorrow's upper body meathead day.

But I have some ab articles for you.

Experimenting with Hemp Juice

Trying to cut back on my almond milk intake and mix in some Hemp bliss/juice/beverage/milk (or whatever you want to call it). Doing so for variety and because Hemp juice does have a better nutrient profile.

Today's Workout: Big old man warm-up. Hang Clean, Sumo Deadlift, Rack Pull, side planks.

There was also another guy at the gym, about my age, former athlete, doing his own version of the old-man warmup. It was like we were having a competition to see who could warm-up the longest. He won.

My old man warm-up is here:

This was followed by 16oz Hemp juice blended with a banana and chocolate Biosteel recovery drink. I can tolerate the hemp juice if it's mixed with a few things, but not solely with regular protein powder. Now for a dog walk in the rain.

And here's a quick interval training tip I posted yesterday on my FB page:

For measuring interval training...
6/10 = regular cardio
10/10 = running for your life
Therefore, do your intervals between 8-9/10.

Beach Saturday

Haha, just heard the "more cowbell" song at the gym. Make it count and put some more cowbell into your workout today.

Hypocritically, all i did was rolling on a PVC pipe and stretching...but the PVC pipe definitely puts more cowbell into 'foam rolling'.

Followed that up with a 2 hour dog walk with extra dogbell. We went to the Toronto beaches and he had some good sprints and wrestling with a dog named, "buddy". Then he went in the lake. Then on the way home he ran into Buddy again and did more dog wrestling. Should be tired today, which is good, because I have to go out all afternoon.

By the way, if you're a trainer, my friend Bedros Keuilian from www.PtPower.com posted this on his Facebook page yesterday. It's amazing to help you get more clients:

Imagine if between now and December 31st you...
- Ran a 28 Day transformation content to your list
- Held a client referral content giving the winner a flat screen TV
- went to InfoUSA.com and bought mailing addresses of 5000 women, in your zip code, between 31-60, with household income of $100K plus
- mail this list a "New Year Revolution" promotion
- mail hand written thank you cards to your clients and follow it up with a personal phone call and offer them the "awesome clients only deal", 12 months paid in full for a killer price.
- systematically reactive former clients using a three step snail mail, email, phone call script.
- adopt a family or shelter, institute a Saturday drop in fee for all community members, and donate all the money generated from the next 4 Saturdays to this cause.

That would have a profound impact on your business wouldn't it?

Post-Meat Meathead Workout

Well, I actually didn't eat any meat yesterday, but that's because I live in Canada. However, I had a great post-American Thanksgiving Meathead workout today, and I've finally figured out how to boil down my latest workouts, and the workouts of my guinea-pig meathead clients into two new TT Meathead programs for 2012.

There will be some sweet new Meathead workout program designs...modified a few exercises with new set and rep schemes. Muscle massacre 2.0.

Today's workout for me: Bench, V-grip pulldown, rack lockout, db row, face pull, db incline curls.

Until then, don't forget:

Today's Harsh But True Kickbutt Mindset Tip:
It's possible no one really wants to see you succeed. No one wants to lose you to your ambitions. No one wants you to do better than them. People will try to hold you down. The negative media discourages success and encourages failure. You have to fight against all of these things to succeed, but if you believe in yourself you will succeed.

Move past the mistakes of yesterday. Learn from them, and then forget them. "Success seems to be connected with action. Successful people keep moving. They make mistakes, but they don't quit." - Conrad Hilton
