Exercise Form QnA

Easy training for me today. Having a bit of an off-week before I start a new program on Wednesday. Did ball leg curls, ab wheel, depth jumps, deadlifts (3x5 at 50%), front squats (3x10 at 50%) and good mornings (3x10 with empty bar). Lots of stretching and a long warm-up.

Then we had a good form QnA on www.turbulencetrainingfanpage.com

Q: Which is better for hamstrings, straight leg deadlifts or RDL?

Answer:
They are equal, but most often the RDL technique is safer...then again there are many form interpretations of each...so I'd have to watch each to be able to say.

Q: how can i substitute inclined press in the TT for Buff Dudes and Hot Chicks?

Answer:
Decline pushup or db flat press

Q: What's the difference between split squats and reverse lunges? I feel like its targeting the same muscles.

Answer:
Generally the same movement, but the split squat is stationary and has a lesser degree of difficulty on the co-ordination scale.

Today's Kickbutt Mindset Tips:
Make this your deadline week. Attack that problem at work or at home that has been lagging...get it done before Christmas so that it no longer sticks in your mind during the holidays. Attack the problem. Get it done. You can do it. Start making changes and progress today.

Success is simple once you accept how difficult it is, and how much effort, honesty, responsibility, long-range planning, creativity, intensity, discipline, thought and control the process is going to take. I'm not saying it is easy. And it is not going to happen overnight. But once you accept how difficult it is then will you have the right mindset to succeed.
