Bad Dog. Good Workout.

He done did it again. Bally the Dog tried a little trickery last night, but he got busted.

Around 8pm I was heading out for a late dinner with friends so Bally had to stay home alone. I gave him a treat and headed out the door, but when I got to the main floor of my building I remembered that I left an avocado on the kitchen counter.

And he loves avocado (and NO, it is not poisonous to dog...I know because I called animal poison control the first time he ate one...and the vet laughed at me - that and the fact that he eats avocado all the time). Knowing that I can't leave him alone for 5 minutes with an avocado, I decided to go back upstairs and put it away.

So I go back up, go in, and hear that he's in the bedroom. I figure he just went to sleep. So I go over to the counter, take the avocado, and put it in the cupboard. And I was about to leave again when I did a double take.

Where are my bananas? Didn't I have 5 or 6 of them here? Did I put them away? Did I eat them all? Did I really have bananas in the first place or am I imagining things?

Or did that little stinker take them?

Dang right he did.

I went into the bedroom and he had all 5 bananas spread out on the bed, but I just came back in time before he got them open. I bet he would have ate them all. That little stinker. Classic Bally the Dog.

Anyways, he was a good boy for the rest of the night...in fact, earlier in the evening, he even found $70 just lying on the street. I didn't see who dropped it, and the funny thing is, at least 6 people walked by it before we got to it.

I stood there for 5 minutes hoping someone would come back looking for it. But nothing.

So we brought it home, and I went online and donated it (loaned it) to www.Kiva.org. My friend Barry Dunlop from the UK says it's a worthwhile site. So check it out.

Alright, so now for today's workout.

1A) Medium Stance Squats
1B) Pullups

2A) Front Squats
2B) DB Shoulder Press

Then I had to go to the chiropractor...because about 6 weeks ago Bally and I decided to slide down a really steep, icy hill (not a wise decision as I look back at it) and the only thing that stopped us from hitting a tree was me sticking out my foot to brake against a metal pole.

Was worried I broke my "5th metatarsel", but hopefully is only ligament damage. Feels much better now after some ART from Dr. Michael Sommers of Evolve Chiropractic in Toronto.

Kettlebell-Bodyweight "Depletion" workout tomorrow,

Well at least your dog eats healthy. Haha.

now that he's already into healthy food, he should try Turbulence Training too! Maybe you could write a dog version for the next monthly TTmembers workout, including "catch-the-thief" sprints instead of cardio ;-)

I hope Bally doesn't start eating money!

And he definitely must do TT, the vet says he has 6 pack abs. no joke!
