Running a Mile - Part 11
Quick workout today...which was the mistake. I should have taken more time to warm-up appropriately.
I didn't hurt myself, but it wasn't the highest quality workout that I could have ...
Just did a treadmill warmup.
Then I tried to run 1/2 miles (800m) at a 5:30mph pace (11mph) on a 1% incline.
I did 1 interval fine, but only made it halfway through the 2nd interval.
I finished with a third interval, again doing only half of the planned distance.
Not a lost cause, it will still increase my fitness for the mile. However, inadequate warm-up and some fatigue from Monday's squat workout cut into my performance today.
Lessons to be learned,
