Good Workout & Strange Blender Drink

It was busy in the gym again today...I thought everyone gave up after how quiet last week was.

Today's Workout:

1) Power Clean

2A) Bench
2B) DB Chest Suppored Row (really good upper back exercise)

3A) DB Steep Incline

4A) EZ Bar Lying Triceps Extension
4B) DB Curls

After the workout, I had my...

2nd (strange) blender drink of the day (instead of chocolate milk): 1 banana, raspberries, chocolate hemp drink, almond milk, cashew butter, chocolate vega powder. And for those who will be asking, Hemp Drink tastes like dirt.

Had that along with a cashew butter sandwich.

Okay, and here were a couple of motivation tips posted on my my Facebook page today:

1) Focus first on the major changes that will bring you the biggest results. Don't get caught up in minor details that hold you back from making major changes.

2) I still have yet to meet a person who wears a scale around their neck (like Flava Flav wears his clock). So stop obsessing on the scale weight and focus on the inches and the mirror. No one wears a scale around their neck...only you worry about the weight, while everyone else will be noticing how much leaner you are getting.

So if you lose inches but not pounds, don't be upset.

Focus on the right thing,

OK, so on the Hemp Drink...why do you do it? Are you just experimenting, or punishing yourself or what? I've gotta go with the chocolate milk...

Speaking of hemp, have you ever tried hemp seed butter? I had one terrible experience with a hemp powder and this made me resistant to the thought of ordering some hemp seed butter online. I have yet to find anyone who has tried it for an honest assessment.

If it takes anything like the powder, even its excellent nutrient profile likely won't bait me into experimenting with it.

Couldn't agree more! Nice post!
Flava Flav ---> "Fight the power!". Man...that's definitely old school right there. Loved that group back then.

and as a side note - don't believe what a treadmill monitor tells you either! someone burning 480 calories on a treadmill means little in the long run if fat loss is your goal. People get too obsessed with how much cals were burned.

we get too caught up with that - we're kidding ourselves.

If it took me 1 hour to do that - I think that's a waste of precious time, when I can do so much more in so little time if we'd all just open our eyes a little bit more and be educated how fat loss works - the right way.

quality always is best...
