This Sore Throat is Making it Hard to Eat!

Out of nowhere, I got a soar throat on Saturday afternoon. But the strange thing is that the soreness and swelling is only my left side. The right side of my throat is absolutely fine. And there's no coughing. Just a really sore throat on the left side.

It got worse Sunday evening, and I wasn't even sure I'd be able to sleep last night, but I got in an okay rest (got up a few times) and it felt better this morning...but its still a 7/10 for pain right now. Hopefully gone tomorrow. And hopefully not worse.

Anyways, I started a new workout today:

1A) Overhead Squat - 135x3x5
1B) Pullups - 3x10 (stopping 1-2 reps short of failure)

2A) DB Chest Press - 80x3x8
2B) BB Row - 185x3x10

3A) Full Squat - 235x2x6
3B) Hanging Leg Raise - 3x6

35 minute session,

c

Ugh, I hate sore throats. I used to have them several times as a kid, and even had strep throat a few times. I sympathize entirely...

Hey Craig, hope you feel better. I had a question about your weight routine posts. Do you include the weight of the barbell or do you just count the weight of the plates?

Thanks.

I just got over a nasty case of strep. 'Tis the season (believe it or not). I hope you feel better!

Hope its nothing serious.

Craig - Are you going back to a full-body plan this go around?
Looks like you hit just about everything in this one. My kind of workout!

Sore throat is a pain in the ass. I would've skipped the workout but kudos to you for plowing thru.

Have you had your tonsils out? I have had sore throats on one side when food, such as potato skins, got lodged in a tonsil. I still haven't had a tonsillectomy, but when I get these one-sided sore throats, I only eat soft foods like ice cream, watermelon and cottage cheese for about three days and they go away.
