The Free weights are fake!

Fitness Workout Photoshoot

You've all heard the stories about the fake weights in the Muscle and Fitness photoshoots - how the weight plates really aren't 45 pounds - and how that allows the bodybuilders to lift what looks like 6 plates per side on bench presses.

We'll, today we are using fake weights at our fitness model photoshoot at www.maxfitmag.com

The 70 pound dumbbells weigh about 10 pounds and the 45 pound plates weigh about 15 pounds.

This makes it much, much easier on the model - after all this photoshoot is going to last 8 hours today and then we'll finish off with 4-6 hours tomorrow.

Holding the poses in the bottom position is what hurts the muscles and tires them out. And there's a whole lot of posing and isometric contractions. So the models earn their money, that's for sure.

We're just getting into the bodyweight exercises though, and fake weights won't help anyone here.

Look for this fat loss workout to come out in the January issue of Maximum Fitness magazine - see more at www.MaxFitMag.com

Thats one of the best things I have heard of in a while. I guess I should not be surprised that weights are fake..I'm interested in finding out if they photoshop those pictures before they hit magazines. I have heard a lot of them are.

Yes, they do. Sometimes it is just to remove a tattoo...other times to remove wrinkles...and other times to etch the abs a bit...
