NYC Hotel Workout

Today's workout at the decent Four Seasons hotel gym in NYC: DB press, Cable row, TRX pushups, TRX row, Face Pull, Trx bodyweight triceps, TRX ab pike, ball rollout. Cool to see a TRX in a hotel gym.

True Story: Last night in the hotel lounge, I was having a drink with a friend. Lionel Richie walked in and ate dinner beside us. Funny to watch him do as most people do, and sneak in some "texting" underneath the table. I wonder, was he texting, "Helllllooooooooooo"?

Today's Training Resource: Check out "Bally the Builder's" build-your-own-circuits recipe at

Simple way to set up a circuit: Squat, Push, Pull, Single Leg, Total Body Ab. That's my "Big 5 System". Add a shuttle sprint, run, or KB swing at end for the "Big 6". Or add a jump at the start (low box jumps) for the "Big 7". That's the recipe for Bally-the-Builder's build-your-own-circuits right there.

Today's Kickbutt Mindset Tips:
Stand up to a challenge today. Face a fear square on. Attack an attitude that is holding you back. Make today your day.

"Cherish time, your most valuable resource. You can never make up the time you lose. It's the most important value for any productive happy individual and is the only limitation to all accomplishment. To waste time is to waste your life. The most important choices you'll ever make are how you use your time."

The life we lead is because of the choices we make. These are the friends we've chosen. This is how we have decided to spend out time. This is how we've decided to take care of ourselves. Our choice, no one elses. If we want our lives to change, we have to take responsibility for the world we create for ourselves.

Great article to keep working out when you're not at home! TRX is actually one of the only fitness product that I think is useful.

''If we want our lives to change, we have to take responsibility for the world we create for ourselves. ''

This sentence resonates with me. About a week ago, I decided to clear all the clutter in my bedroom, start doing To-Do list each day, and wake up earlier. I'll tell you something. I will never go back. I feel so productive, creative, free and focused. Sometimes it is the simple actions that make the difference.
