Today I started phase 4 of Maximum Mass from Jay Ferruggia , and it was a quick workout with some of my favorite exercises. Good times.
But in the gym, I watched a guy squat 95 lbs while standing on two inflatable discs.
Whats the freaking point?
This guy could easily squat more than 95lbs. What did he think he was getting by doing it on 2 pink ballons?
As he lowered himself, he ended up leaning forward as his feet shifted over the discs, so he was overloading the knee joint and the quadriceps rather than the hips and the glutes/hamstrings.
An exercise in futility. Yet someone, somewhere, thought that was a good idea and either showed him or told him to do it. Shame on the guy for doing it, but double shame on the person who showed him in the first place.
Stop doing that,
