How do you know if you are training enough?
As time goes on you will get to "know your body" and when you need to push and when to back off.
The truth is this...
Let's say 3 rounds of a circuit gives you 100% results.
With intense exercise, the greatest benefits are from the first round of a superset or circuit.
If you just did 1 round with right intensity, you'd probably get 60% (or more of the benefits).
A 2nd round bumps you up to 80% (or more) of the benefits you get from 3 rounds.
A 4th round might not give you any more results (i.e. in strength or metabolic boost), BUT it does put us at risk of injury. So it should be avoided.
I'm not saying never do 4 rounds. But...
...there is certainly a LAW of diminishing returns with more training, no matter if it is more cardio or more MRT.
Don't be afraid to take a day off.
And never forget how important diet is for fat loss.

PS - Try this...
The fastest and easiest way to make your life better is to help make someone else's life better. You cannot out-give the universe. You can try, but you'll always fail. And that's the greatest failure you'll ever experience.
PPS - I'm overwhelmed...here's why:
I am overwhelmed with gratitude.
Twice this week people contacted the ETR support team to say that our articles and contest contributed (albeit in a minor way) to their decision to get out of a bad situation and to not commit suicide. I don't even know what to say. I never imagined that our content and contest would have such an impact.
I think the big lesson in this:
Live by Example.
Do great things. Show the world that there are indeed POSITIVE people out there...that you care...that SOMEONE cares...that there is hope...that if you persist and never give up on what is important to you, that you CAN make progress...that there will be better days...that after the darkness there comes a dawn. If you do all of this, and open your heart and care for others and even support perfect strangers, your world will open up to enormous opportunity and gratitude.
You can't change all that is wrong in this great big world, but YOU can have an impact, even if it is just a tiny, positive impact on a stranger that receives a smile from you on the street today. There's so much we can do for others, and in the end, what we do for others ends up benefiting us 10-fold. So let's do this. Let's make our little worlds amazing today.
Who knows what impact you might have! Imagine the possibilities, for they are enormous!
Have an amazing day. - Craig

Squat Workout and Videos
Today we are going to focus on the core basics for getting stronger and the core values at TT.
My workout: Squats, box jumps, lunges, pullups, leg curls.

Today's Kickbutt Mindset Tips:
Focus on replacing your bad habits and thought patterns, one-by-one, over time, with good habits and thought patterns. One step at a time, done over time, leads to powerful changes in your life.
It's been a while since I've listed all of our core values. Here they are again:
There are six Turbulence Training core values.
1) Change people's lives.
Help them get better and to help them reach their peak potential. Our number one priority is to help people improve their lives.
2) Science Based Innovation
We don't follow fads. We help people with what works - as proven by science and experience.
3) Customer Service, Customer Service, Customer Service
This is our team's mission. Every communication focuses on improving the customer experience. We have always had great customer service and always will because it helps people implement our proven products and they get more results. And that is why it’s so important, is because it ends up impacting so many more people and moving us towards the TEN million mission.
4) Always be Learning and Improving
You’re not just satisfied with what you know now. You’re always improving.
5) Politically Incorrect, No B.S. Information
We deliver the truth, even if it’s politically incorrect. We don’t care about the latest fads. All that we care about are the results of our clients.
6) Never, ever, ever, EVER give up.
Never give up on getting better, and never give up on helping our clients. Everybody’s going to have some struggles, but we’re going to be there helping them.
Those are our six core values that are going to lead us to our 10 Million Transformation Mission.
Thanks to living these core values, each week we are getting more and more amazing success stories. And soon we'll have results of the 16th Turbulence Training Transformation Contest. Here's this week's coolest feedback:
"I'm not even sure how I stumbled across you're name or turbulence training, but I'm glad I did. Between all the emails I receive on personal development ect, and the workouts I have purchased and started implementing I have gained some good steps towards my fitness goals. I've been working out consistently for a little over two months, and I love the new style the switch ups I'm learning correct form, focusing on quality over quantity. My understanding of my over all health has improved. So more or less turbulence training is what I will be doing for a long time to come! I love what you have done with it and I can't wait for more!" – Jack Rohbuck

Minimalist Workout and Shake
It was a minimalist meathead Monday today. After yesterday’s beatdown by deadlifts and presses, today I’m just doing an easy bodyweight circuit for mobility.
By the way, if you’re really into the barefoot running stuff, here’s a study for you to check out:
"Minimalist shoe" running not the same as barefoot running
- http://bjsm.bmj.com/content/47/6/387.abstract?etoc
And finally, two shakes today. One was Minimalist. The other, MONSTROUS. Guess which one I preferred?
Shake
Today's SuperGreener blender drink to start the day:
- 8oz water
- Athletic Greens
- BioTrust vanilla cream protein
- 2 handfuls frozen spinach
- 1/2 cup broccoli
Followed by the chocolate peanut butter monster after training:
- 8oz water
- BioTrust milk chocolate protein
- 1 banana
- 1 giant scoop of peanut butter
Today’s Kickbutt
Share your goals with the RIGHT people - the ones who will encourage you, motivate you, and connect you with others who will move you forward towards your goals and dreams. And constantly take action - one step (baby or giant, doesn't matter) every day closer to your goals and dreams.
And finally, I wasn't "Minimalist" when I was on Amazon yesterday. Amazon wins again, 6-0. Books ordered today: Triumphs of Experience, Wherever You Go There You Are, Power of Habit, Found Money, The Wisdom of No Escape, and Comfortable with Uncertainty.
What are YOU reading?

You'll also get a tour of Bedros' private office, and that's where things

Deadlifting and Earning It
My 3rd favorite movie quote of all time (and great business/life advice) is from the epic, Saving Private Ryan.
You'll remember the end of the movie, as Captain John Miller (played by Tom Hanks) says to Private Ryan (played by Matt Damon) a short, simple line that epitomizes the action we have to take in life. It's only fair, considering the sacrifice that was made for us.
"Earn it", were the words spoken by Miller.
Are you Earning It today?
Forget yesterday (but learn from it)...today is another day...another chance to make changes and big improvements. let's go.
Make your plan. Stick to it. Don't let others guilt you into a bad decision. Stay strong, and never, ever, ever give up on what is important to you.
My training today will be:
Hang Cleans
Deadlifts
Good Mornings
Bulgarian Split Squats
Pullups
Earned.

Get Ripped Diet
The other week I had an exercise video shoot and I wanted to "carve up"
my abs a little more. So to drop 1-2% belly fat in the fastest time
possible, I switched to this meal plan. This shows you EXACTLY what to eat for rapid fat loss, meal-by-meal:
==> The Entire ONE Day Diet (here's exactly what to eat)
==> The Entire ONE Day Diet (here's exactly what to eat)
It's the PERFECT way to start your week.
This is Politically Incorrect (because no 'dietician' likes FAST
results), but research shows that when subjects lose fat fast they tend
to stick with the program longer - because they actually see results!
(Pretty obvious, right?)
That's why this plan works so well.
In this ultra-simple ONE Day Diet meal plan, you'll learn exactly what
inexpensive flat-belly foods to eat, meal-by-meal, to get you the fast,
sustainable, visually amazing results that you deserve...
And best of all, you'll get the full step-by-step, meal-by-meal, details at this link, right now, 100% FREE:

Your Next Year as a Trainer
This is one of my favorite quotes because it is the

Where will you be in your personal training business next year?
What will you accomplish in the next 365 days?
Will it be the same old, same old, daily grind, more frustration and

less free time?
Or will it be a year of abundance?
If you are happy with the way things are, AWESOME. Keep it up.
But if you want things to change, let the experts show you how.
Here's what you'll learn from Gurus of Fitness Business Success:

- Martin Rooney - Ultra-effective training techniques for rapid results
- Mike Whitfield - How he went from $0 to $100,000 in under a year
- Adam Bornstein - The fastest way to become your town's Famous Fitness Expert
And you might even get a few tips from ol' CB on how to transform your life,

I don't use the phrase "Life-Changing" lightly. Here's what one attendee,
Catherine Gordon, posted on the TT Forum the other day:
"Can't wait for the summit. I know this one will be the best
ever. Plus, you can't beat the neighborhood for restaurants,
fun, and shopping, literally right outside the hotel door.
But more important...This time last year, I was teaching 3 small
classes a week.
This week we're doubling our floor space to accommodate the
rush of new students we're getting. I think I've followed a tenth
of the advice I've learned at last year's summit, but what a
difference it has made. If there's any way you can be there,
don't miss it." - Catherine Gordon, Certified Turbulence Trainer

20 Home Workout Programs just added
Big Announcement.
20 new workouts have been added to the NO-equipment Home Workout Revolution video program. Check out the 4-Minute Miracles and 6-Minute Six-Packers today
==> www.HomeWorkoutRevolution.com
If you're already a member at HWR.com, just log in to view them immediately. Let us know what you think of the metabolic-packed mini workouts.
Yesterday was bodyweight training for me, but today it was a big squat workout.
1) Squat - worked up to 315
2A) Lunges
2B) Pullups
3A) Leg Curls
3B) Side Planks
Good times.
Then went home for a blender drink.
I've found a good combo for the egg white protein shakes, but they still taste really salty. Must be the erythritol?
Today's blender drink:
- 8oz water
- Jay Robb Strawberry Egg White protein powder
- 1/3 avocado
- 2 handfuls spinach
- frozen strawberries
Had this with 1oz almonds and an apple.
I'm also enjoying the Banana Nut Muffin flavored Quest protein bar.
Dinners have been beef with lots of vegetables...too many, I can't eat all of them. One night it was zucchini, asparagus, mushrooms, and onions.
Workouts have been good.
Fingers are doing great.
Eyes are doing great - slowly improving...eyesight is getting closer to 20-20.
Off to the farm for the weekend and then back to Tampa for Easter Weekend.

Bad Form at the Gym
omgomgomgomgomg...
That's what I was saying to myself on Saturday morning at the gym
as I watched a 35-year old women use the worst deadlift form I'd ever
witnessed.
It was a complete rounding of every notch in her spine, from the top of her hips right up to her neck.
And for whatever reason, her terrible form was contagious (must have been some type of weird March Break "bad form virus" or something).
Just a few feet away from her was another 30-something woman doing
lunges and twisting her neck on every rep to check her form in the
mirror. That's a near-guaranteed way to get injured.
Over in the machine section, an overweight 50-year old guy with a
big belly was wasting his life - and risking his low back - on the
rotary torso machine.
On and on it went...
Too many people have terrible form in the gym. And that's why
people get hurt and quit their workout programs...and end up in worse
shape then before. Do NOT let this happen to YOU!
RANT OVER. Here's the good news...
You don't need equipment. You don't need machines. You don't need a gym membership at all.
You can burn fat with a fast-paced bodyweight conditioning system at home.
You might not become a world champion in MMA like Georges St. Pierre or Egan Inoue, but you can get their ripped abs.
You might not become a world champion in MMA like Georges St. Pierre or Egan Inoue, but you can get their ripped abs.
You're about to discover an ancient
Hawaiian secret on how to use bodyweight exercises to burn fat and build
muscle.
But first, you have to forget everything you were taught
about losing weight. Dispense with the baloney about having to do long, slow
cardio.
Egan Inoue, 7-time world champion in mixed martial arts, is going to give you the exact bodyweight conditioning workouts you need to get
ripped like an MMA fighter. As
everyone knows, there are no athletes more ripped than those that step into the
ring (or octagon).
And you'll be able to do this without weights, without
spending hours watching infomercial workouts, or using any fancy, expensive
equipment.
Egan's going to teach you the fastest way
ever discovered to lose belly fat and get ripped without requiring you to leave
your home and join a class. And you don't need to be an athlete to enjoy the
fast fat-burning results from this system.
Your results? They will be incredible...and noticeable within
days, even hours.
If you are looking to boost your metabolism and lose fat
fast, you'll do so better than ever with Egan's training secrets. After all, if
these worked to help him become a ripped, world-class athlete in not one, but
two sports (martial arts and racquetball), then his workouts will work for you
too.
In fact, these workouts will work even BETTER for you if
you're stuck with your weight loss progress.
By switching to a new form of
fighter training, you'll shock your body into making massive changes and giving you
rapid results. So if the scale hasn't been moving for you, get ready for that
to change.
No matter what type of exercise you've been doing in the
past, and no matter how bad your diet, Egan's unique exercises and workout
routines will give you the results you desire - and deserve - in record time.
After all, as a pro athlete that had to train several hours per day just on his
skills, Egan didn't have time to waste going to a gym. That's why he developed
his no-equipment workouts that could be done anytime, anywhere.
You'll lose belly fat, get six-pack abs, chisel your chest
and sculpt your arms, all while dramatically improving your fitness and
conditioning.
The coolest thing about Egan's workouts is that
you'll be
looking forward to each one because you'll be doing something totally
different. Now you can say "goodbye" forever to the cardio machines.
Egan's perfected his system over decades in the world of MMA
conditioning, where his name is legendary. If you've ever wanted a fighter on your side in the battle
against belly fat, Egan's your man.
Don't waste any more time. Get started with his bodyweight
MMA fat burning workouts and ultimate conditioning system today. As a FREE
bonus, you'll also receive his legendary "21-Day Cut-the-Fat Fighter's Diet" system that
promises you rapid results in just a few short weeks - all by making a few
simple, quick-and-easy changes to your daily meals.
Thanks to the secrets that Egan is about to release from the
MMA world to all of us looking to lose a little more belly fat, you're going to
get your fastest results ever.
So say goodbye to boring cardio. Give up the gym membership.
And get Fighter Ripped with a Championship winning program today.
All of the workouts are fast and simple to do. Egan's
decades of experience building his own body, and in running bootcamp workouts
for thousands of clients on the beautiful islands of Hawaii, are now available
for you to use to lose fat fast.
Imagine for a moment how amazing you'll look with a
fighter's washboard abs, sculpted biceps and triceps, and chiseled chest. Plus,
you'll also have dramatic increases in all day energy thanks to the fighter
conditioning system.
If that's what you'd like, then let Egan show you how to
accomplish all of this from the comfort of your own home quickly and easily
with his proven system.
I've trained over 97,000 people with my Turbulence Training
system, and I've read hundreds of books and attended dozens of seminars, but if
I had to give you the ultimate MMA-Style bodyweight conditioning workout that gets you fighter ripped
and fit, this is the one and only program I know that does all of that at once.
That's how valuable it is. Get it at:
He's pretty darn ripped for 47 years old, don't you think?

The Bally and Deadlifting Weekend Report
Picked up Bally the Dog from the sitters last night, and that kicked off a great weekend (so far). I've even spent some time in the kitchen cooking.
You see, last weekend, on the Sunday morning before my flight from Orange County to Denver, I enjoyed one of the best omelets of my life. It was nothing fancy, just a spinach and mushroom omelet, made with 4 real eggs (not that "instant eggs" mix used by most hotels), spinach, and mushrooms.
It was light and fluffy.
And so I've spent the past week trying to recreate that omelet at home.
One trick I learned from a fancy chef was to blend the eggs. I use the old blender-drink blender and give it 3 pulses. It's the lazy man's way to beat eggs.
After adding a healthy dose of coconut oil to my cast-iron skillet, I added the eggs to a low heat, and then added the toppings as the eggs solidified. Everything was going as planned...but then I tried to simply fold the omelet over, and that's where I butchered it.
The presentation ended up being a poor mess, but the eating was good!
Had that along with steamed broccoli and lots of tomato sauce, plus an apple, an orange Zevia (stevia sweetened, no-calorie soda) in place of orange juice, and a decaf Green Tea.
That was enjoyed while reading the Saturday Globe and Mail and getting some ETR essay ideas, and while watching/listening to the Manchester United game on TV.
Perfect after-workout at-home Saturday brunch with Bally the Dog. He had his regular meal. Dog food. He can't get enough. I also gave him a breath-freshening greenie treat.
Before my workout I tried a new flavor of Quest protein bar. It's Banana Nut Muffin, and is sucralose-free. If you get a fresh box, you'll be impressed. Had that along with Athletic Greens, sencha Green Tea, and 1oz almonds.
Then went and deadlifted. Good session.
Hang Clean - 3x3
Deadlift - 5x5
Military Press - 5x5
Good Morning - 4x10
Bulgarian Split Squat - 2x15
Pullup - 3x4
Great day all round. Hope yours was too.
BTW, for pullups, check out www.challengeworkouts.com for the blueprint to get more pullups!

Denver Nuggets and Meathead Training
Great dinner last night with Isabel De Los Rios, Mat Smith, Jeff Siegel (Isabel's business partner), and Adam Bornstein. We went to Tag restaurant in Denver. Isabel and I had the scallops. They were really great, and I had a big salad, too.
Afterward Matt and I went to the Denver Nuggets - NY Knicks basketball game. Good times. I had a bag of peanuts and a water. It was a blow-out, and the Nuggest are just such a great, young team. The Knicks, however, had two guys that were around 40 years old, and Carmelo Anthony played a stinker.
In a few hours I'll be heading home to Toronto. But first I'll do one more workout. It will be an upper body meathead training session of DB chest press, DB row, pullups or pulldowns, pushups, and arms. I'll be back to heavy lifting on Saturday.

Healthy Eating While Traveling
Started the day with a really great omelet at the Westin hotel in Costa Mesa, CA.
I remembered to order REAL eggs, so that they didn't use that filler-filled egg mixture.
It came with spinach and mushrooms. Four eggs makes a nice sized meal. Had that with an apple and oz of raw almonds.
Then, after the creepiest pat down ever by a TSA agent (I never go through the full body scanner), I boarded my five hour flight from Orange County to Denver, via San Fran.
On the plane I had 3oz of raw almonds, 1 Renegade Protein bar from youbars.com, and an apple.
For dinner, my business partner Matt Smith and I ate at the Four Seasons Edge restaurant in Denver. I had the tuna steak and grilled asparagus.
As much as I wanted to order the bone-in ribeye, I have a new commitment to eating light when eating late.
Tomorrow I'm filming some ETR videos and have important meetings on some new projects. Here for a few days, and that will include a dinner with Isabel De Los Rios and hopefully the Nuggets-Knicks game on Wednesday night.

Success Talk
Yikes. My abs are wicked sore from Power Wheel Rollouts done the other day at Iron Gym in Santa Monica. The stretch and contract combo always hits them hard.
And yesterday I visited a local 24-Hour Fitness facility here in Costa Mesa for a great Meathead Upper body workout. It's been a long time since I've done Incline Bench Press, so I worked my way up to just 185 pounds. Also did pull-ups, Hammer Strength chest presses, Hammer Strength rows, triceps, and biceps. It was fun.
And then last night I went on stage at 8:35pm (11:35pm EST!) to deliver my annual Success talk to over 300 personal trainers at www.FitnessBusinessSummit.com. Met a lot of great folks that are going to change the world. Cracked a few Cookie Monster jokes. Bought everyone a beer - and 3 vodka redbulls for Jason Ferruggia. Ha. Good times.
Today I'm heading over to Denver, but my morning flight has been cancelled due to a snowstorm. That means I have to fly on Southwest airlines for the first time ever, and we'll be going through San Francisco on the way to Big D. Eventually I'll get there. A little nap, some almonds and apples, and maybe a protein bar or two should help the flight go smooth.
Then we'll have a few days of Big Idea planning out at www.EarlytoRise.com headquarters. It was really cool to meet so many ETR readers at FBS last night. Many folks told me that our productivity articles made a huge difference in their lives, and that means a lot to me. You don't always hear from readers, and you certainly don't meet a lot in person, so that's why speaking at live events is so great.
Plus, I had the chance to meet several Certified Turbulence Trainers in the audience. We're all getting fired up for the annual TT Summit in San Diego this June - www.TTSummit.com <= Details on 2013 coming soon.
Alright, time for my daily readings.
Today's Kickbutt Mindset Tips:
There is so much potential in you…but my biggest worry is that you do not see what you are capable of doing. That you are going to let little limitations & negative self-talk get in the way of your big self. Don’t let YOU stop you from doing what you can do.
Just do it. It’s less painful to do it than it is to sit around and think about it or feel guilty that you haven’t started yet. Once you get started, things will get done.
Success comes in spurts. You’ll do all this work and feel like you’re getting nothing and nowhere…nothing, nothing, nothing…and then suddenly, WHOOOOOSH. Success. It comes in spurts. Never give up on what is important to you.

Back on Track Ballantyne
Boy, do I need this advice today.
"Today's another day, so get back on track on move closer to your dreams and goals. You can do it. Don't let yesterday or last week put you off track. You are not the mistakes of your past. You are what you can become."
The night went downhill as soon as I agreed to reservations for 8pm. That was already too late, having just arrived on the West Coast while trying to stick to my Eastern Time Zone living.
And then the feast began. Now don't get me wrong, I don't mind eating a big steak and lots of sides, and even having a glass of great wine (or two).
But I went way off track and turned my back on my gluten-free diet with half of the chocolate cake slice and half of chocolate chip cookie and scoop of ice cream delivered to our table as a gift from the manager at Boa Steakhouse in Santa Monica.
It was truly appreciated, and even more delicious, but not the right decision for my short-term or long-term health.
Of course, Yes, you must live. You must enjoy incredible nights with friends, family, and people you love. You are only here once, and you mustn’t live like a monk (unless you are a monk).
But.
Neither should you bow and bend to every opportunity. That’s what gets us into trouble in the first place.
That said, when you drive the performance car of “you” well off the track, there’s just one thing that you can do. Get back on track as soon as possible.
A night like that must strengthen your resolve.
It gives you great insight into what is important in life.
Today's another day, so get back on track on move closer to your dreams and goals. You can do it. Don't let yesterday or last week put you off track. You are not the mistakes of your past. You are what you can become.
By divine coincidence, my daily reading from "Art of Living" included this today:
“Unless we give ourselves over to our endeavors, we are hollow, superficial people and we never develop our natural gifts. A half-hearted spirit has no power. Tentative efforts lead to tentative outcomes…If you wish to become proficient in the art of wisdom, do you think that you can eat and drink to excess? Do you think you can continue to succumb to anger and your usual habits of frustration and unhappiness? No. If true wisdom is your object and you are sincere, you will have work to do on yourself.” – Epictetus
We all have work to do. We all have a life to live.
Make the right decisions, celebrate when you should, but celebrate in a way that is wise.
And then when it comes time to do the work on yourself, commit to it, whole-heartedly.
That's what I plan to do today. To get fully commit to getting back on track.
Today's Kickbutt Mindset Tip:
To get something you've never had, you have to do something you've never done.
You begin by beginning. There is no other way to get started. So stop starting, and BEGIN!

Second Santa Monica Workout
Then ended up going to a good gym in Santa Monica called "Iron". Jay and I did some Meathead back exercises. Tobey McGuire was training beside us. I was disappointed that he was not doing spiderman pullups, spiderman pushups, or spiderman climbs. Not a one!
Tried a new protein bar today - needed some easy to carry snacks on the airplane because you can't trust the food.
Not the tastiest, but then again, look at the ingredients.
NOTE: It was hard to find the ingredient list on the wrapper because the list is so short:
Called "Elevate Me - the simplest protein & fruit energy bar", the ingredient list was: whey protein isolate, dates, organic raisins, apples, bananas, almonds
Now heading to a restaurant in Santa Monica called Boa for a steak.
Today’s Kickbutt Mindset Tips:

Deadlift Beatdown
My workout today was a beast. It beat me down halfway through.
That's what happens when you start with 5 sets of 5 for deadlift and military press. And I might have gone too heavy with the deadlift weight.
Also did hang cleans, leg curls, pull-ups, and stability ball planks.
If you are looking for a monster of a workout, try this:

And if you want a shorter workout that still burns belly fat fast, try the most popular - and possibly most effective TT workout ever here:

Today's Kickbutt Mindset Tip:
Heard this quote in a car commercial, and it's great:
"One day your life will flash before your eyes. Make sure it’s worth watching."
Help others. In the end, it will actually help you more than them. You can try to out-give the Universe, but you will find that you cannot. When you teach and help and improve others, you remain the one with the most to gain. That's just the way it works, in ALL areas of life, from fitness to faith to finances. Helps others = you getting better. Do it!
"Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending." - Maria Robinson
Never compare yourself to others! That is the biggest source of unhappiness in modern life. Focus on you and your changes - making yourself better day by day. Stay strong and get stronger - for your own improvement and personal development. Keep on pushing!

How Poor Nutrition Killed My Old Man
My father had stomach issues all his life. Worse, colon cancer
ended up killing him in September, 2008. It was, unfortunately, his
fault. His poor diet, alcoholism, and refusal to go to the doctor for
the past 25 years led to his premature death at age 69. No Canadian
should die before 70. But he did.
I'm determined not to make the same mistake. I gave up binge
drinking years ago. I eat as healthy as possible. I walk - and pet - the
dog every morning and night. I meditate. I try and become a better
person every day - just like you do. That's why I was so interested in
this information:
This information will surprise you, and show you just how well you
are doing (or how poorly) with your diet. Take the quick quiz. It could
save your life.
Those nutrition facts - and those 10 foods - will help you and I
live a longer life. I plan to live a vigorous life until I'm 105 years
old. It's one of my goals. (Heaven help the poor old ladies in the same
nursing home as me.)
You'll also uncover an odd secret about the connection between your
belly and your immune system. I'll bet you didn't know about this.
Listen, you don't have to be sick. You don't have to be overweight.
You don't have to throw away your energy and vitality like my father
did. You can eat delicious foods and have a flat, healthy belly, once
and for all.
Your family is counting on you to make the right choices. I sure
wish my father did. And now you have all the information you need.
Stay healthy and get healthier.
Alright, time for another dog walk with ol' Bally the Dog. It's
that time of year when the sun is staying out longer and longer. Gotta
love it. Take care.
Sincerely,
Craig Ballantyne, CTT

...an interesting scientific finding about how our bodies lose EIGHT percent of a vital health component every decade.
And the workout that you can do to overcome this health decline.
Today vs Yesterday
Just remember that no matter how yesterday went, today you get a fresh start. Attack the day, come back stronger than ever, and get one major item done before you get sucked into email, phone calls, etc. Make progress NOW.
So much can be accomplished with a long-term vision and resilience to short term setbacks. Not every problem is conquered overnight, but if you persist and never give up on what is IMPORTANT to you, then you will succeed. Keep on pushing!
And this is tough, but true:
Success is simple, once you accept how hard it is. The secrets to success are not complex. They are right there for all of us to see. Dedication, commitment, discipline, hard work, adding value, and connecting with others – those are things you must have and what you must do.
Simple, but not easy.
But something you can do and achieve.

Number One Rule to Live Right
Big week coming up. First, we had the TT Awards over the weekend, giving out "The Bally's".
Learn who won "TT Client of the Year" and read his #1 rule for success here:
Later today I'll kick off the work week with a Meathead Monday session of bench press, pullups, db incline, db row, and a Hammer Strength machine row.
Then on Thursday I fly to LA to hang out with Jason Ferruggia and Adam Bornstein. On Friday, we are driving down to Costa Mesa to attend www.fitnessbusinesssummit.com. I'll be speaking late on Saturday, around 9pm, to an audience of 500 trainers. It's going to be great.
Yesterday I went shopping at the legendary "Big Carrot" organic grocery store here in Toronto. Grabbed some snacks, including some chocolate covered macadamia nuts. After that, I walked Bally the Dog with an easy walk harness...should have bought one of those 7 years ago. Good times. And he went swimming in frigid Lake Ontario. He loves icy cold water. Almost time for another walk...
Today's Kickbutt Mindset Tips:
“Cling to what you know in your heart is best. Then, if you are steadfast, the very people who ridiculed you will come to admire you. If you allow the mean-spirited opinions of others to make you waver in your purpose, you incur a double shame.” – Epictetus
List all the things that will get in the way of your goal, and then avoid them. Then list all the things that will help you reach your goal and DO them. Never quit. If you stumble, get back up. Get social support to help you make it through the dip. Then DO more of what works and less of what doesn’t.
Despite what the mainstream media implies, the TRUTH is that you have a LOT more control over your life than most people think. You can choose to change your situation. Your happiness, satisfaction, and success is up to you – and you alone. Don’t let anyone convince you otherwise. Take control. Live the life you desire and deserve.

Workout and Nutrition Treats
Ha, did some old school meathead leg training today.
Speed Squats - 8 sets of 3 with 155
Regular Squats - worked up to 315 for 3 sets of 3
Leg Press and Leg Curls - 4 sets of 10 each
Pullups - 12 reps (I'm doing at least 12 reps per day for a month to test Pavel Tsatsouline's "Grease the Groove" theory)
Hanging Leg Raise Supersetted with Ab Wheel
Fun workout. After that I hit a local market and stocked up on produce and some treats, including a small bag of "beer nut glazed" almonds and another small bag of chocolate covered macadamia nuts. I'm a sucker for snacks.

Life Without Limits
Recently I stumbled across an article on an extraordinary young man from Australia.
Nick Vujicic was born without limbs. But that hasn't stopped him from getting married, playing sports, and even surfing.
Today, Nick is a popular speaker, and author of the book, "Life Without Limits". Here are some quotes to kick you in the butt when you're feeling down.
"If I fail, I try again, and again, and again. If YOU fail, are you going to try again? The human spirit can handle much worse than we realize. It matters HOW you are going to FINISH. Are you going to finish strong?” ― Nick Vujicic
“Sometimes you may feel like you are just about to realize your goal only to fall short. That is no reason to quit. Defeat happens only to those who refuse to try again.” ― Nick Vujicic <== This is one inspiring guy! Read his story about "Life Without Limits"
