Transformation Cheat Meals

On Tuesday, I interviewed New Jersey transformation expert John Alvino for one of my New Year's bonuses (this will go out to all TT clients, past and present). Today, I'm flying down to New Jersey to train at John's gym with Jay Ferruggia.

Now John and I covered 2 important points in his interview regarding what is known as a "cheat meal". You'll see these recommended in almost every diet plan, and as John says, the cheat meal is there largely for a psychological break from dieting.

Here are John's 2 rules about cheat meals...

1) John includes one cheat meal per week in your diet program. And the cheat meal ends, as John says, "when your ass leaves the seat". That means it is one sitting. No going back for seconds. So if you order a pizza, eat till you are full, but once you get up from the table, that's it. No more pizza. Throw it out, give it away, whatever. The cheating is over.

2) If you are a smaller person, or have a slow metabolism, John will often cap the cheat meal at a certain calorie level. For example, in the above situation, you would be allowed 500 calories of pizza. Once you eat 500 calories worth of your cheat meal, that's it. Get rid of the rest and get back on your plan.

In the "Transformation Experts Bonus", I cover cheat meals with 2 other experts, Erik Ledin and Brad Pilon. Look for their opinions in the bonus ebook available Dec. 31st through Turbulence Training and www.TTmembers.com
